Helix MC 10K+: The Multicollector Workhorse

The Thermo Scientific Helix MC is a 120 ̊ magnetic sector mass spectrometer with a flight tube of 35cm radius of curvature. The MC contains five Faraday-Multiplier pairs, four of which are moveable to allow for changes in geometry for efficient multicollecting of different Noble gases. The 10K+ is the updated version of the MC with increased Mass Resolving Power (MRP) allowing for simultaneous collection of (20,21,22)Ne free from isobaric interference from 40AR⁺⁺ and 44CO2⁺⁺.
